Exterior Styling

The exterior of the 2020 Ford Ranger is stylish and appealing. It boasts an eye-catching body style that comes in several configurations to suit every need. You can opt for the extended cab, which Ford calls the SuperCab with a six-foot bed or the crew cab, called SuperCrew, which pairs with a five-foot bed. Standard features on the base trim level include a manually locking tailgate, automatic halogen headlights, and 16-inch steel wheels.

In the middle of the pack is the XLT, which adds power side mirrors, alloy wheels, and keyless entry. At the top of the list is the Lariat trim level, which comes standard with a sliding rear window, LED headlights, and power-folding exterior mirrors.

Impressive Capabilities

When you’re shopping for a pickup truck, you’re likely interested in how it can perform when you’re tackling tough work tasks. This truck doesn’t disappoint, boasting a best-in-class payload capacity of 1,860 pounds. When properly equipped with the Trailer Tow package, the Ranger can tow up to 7,500 pounds. Every trim level comes equipped with the same powertrain, which includes a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 310 pound-feet of torque and 270 horsepower. It works with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Something that sets this truck apart from other options in the segment is its ability to handle rough terrain. The FX2 and FX4 Off-Road packages are designed for those who plan to head off the beaten path, adding features that protect the underbody of the truck while allowing for easier handling in all types of road conditions.

Inside the Cabin

Climb into the cabin of the base trim level to find a single-zone climate control system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and a four-speaker sound system. The XLT adds a large central display screen, two additional speakers in the audio system, smartphone integration, an 8-inch touch screen, a 110-volt outlet, and dual-zone climate control.

Choose the top Lariat and your Ranger will include heated and power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and leather upholstery. An available package tacks on a few luxury features, such as a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium sound system, remote engine start, and automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Upscale Safety

Every 2020 Ranger comes with anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, a rearview camera, and forward collision warning with automatic braking. The base trim is also available with the Co-Pilot360 package, which comes standard on the upper two. This includes pedestrian detection, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-keep assist. Additional options include front and rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, and navigation.

With so many appealing features, it’s easy to see why truck buyers were excited for the return of the Ranger. Test drive this powerful pickup at Billy Howell Ford Lincoln, where we can help you get behind the wheel of the perfect model for your lifestyle and needs.
