Cab and Bed Options

Before selecting a trim for the 2020 Ford Ranger, it’s important to know what your cab and bed options are. The four-seat SuperCab has an extended cab, while the five-seat SuperCrew is a crew cab. The SuperCrew has larger rear seats compared to the SuperCab, so it’s easier to get in and out of. Also, the SuperCrew comes with a 5-foot bed, while the SuperCab has a 6-foot bed. Both options are available on all three trims.

Every trim has the same 7,500-pound maximum towing capacity if you include the optional tow package, but without it, the truck can tow 3,500 pounds. Top payload capacity comes from the SuperCab with rear-wheel-drive, which can haul up to 1,860 pounds.

XL Trim

As the base trim, the XL comes standard with a variety of features for interior comfort. Enjoy cloth upholstery, four speakers, a USB port, Bluetooth, and a Wi-Fi hot spot. To keep you and your travelers safe, it includes a rearview camera, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and Ford’s MyKey system. This system allows you to set audio and speed limits for secondary drivers.

An available package upgrade includes cruise control and the SYNC infotainment system with a 4.2-inch display and a six-speaker audio system. Upgrades to safety include blind-spot monitoring, lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.

To enhance the vehicle’s performance, add the FX2 or FX4 Off-Road package. With the FX2 package, you gain a locking rear differential and off-road suspension. The FX4 Off-Road package includes an off-road-tuned suspension, skid plates, locking rear differential, crawl control, off-road tires, and a terrain management system.

XLT Trim

In addition to the XL trim’s features, the XLT adds dual-zone automatic climate control, the SYNC3 infotainment system with an 8-inch touch-screen display, satellite radio, two USB ports, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. For safety, it includes all the optional safety features found in the XL trim.

There’s an optional package that includes eight-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and a remote start. The FX2 and FX4 Off-Road packages are both available as upgrades.

Lariat Trim

In addition to the lower trim’s standard features, the Lariat trim adds leather upholstery, eight-way power-adjustable seats, and heated front seats. It also comes standard with front and rear parking sensors. The only upgrade available includes adaptive cruise control, remote start, and navigation. However, if you opt for the SuperCrew model, it comes with HD radio and a 10-speaker audio system.
