The all-new 2020 Lincoln Aviator is a luxurious and spacious three-row SUV that gives you a refined ride and superb comfort for up to seven people. Offered in five trim levels, the Grand Touring and Black Label Grand Touring models feature a plug-in hybrid powertrain. Here are four of the features that make the Aviator hybrid worth considering.

Exterior Design

With its bold front end, sculpted profile, sloping roofline, and stylish rear, the Aviator will turn heads wherever you go. The front of the Grand Touring offers a unique grille with active shutters, signature lighting, automatic LED headlights, and LED fog lights.

Other features include 20-inch alloy wheels, color-keyed light touch door handles, heated power door mirrors with turn signals, memory, and auto-dimming driver’s side, a hands-free power liftgate, LED taillights, and a dual exhaust with bright quad tips. The Black Label adds a chromed grille with illuminated Lincoln star, LED adaptive pixel headlights, dynamic signature lighting, and 21-inch wheels.

Power and Performance

Under the hood of the Aviator hybrid is a smooth and powerful 3.0-liter twin turbocharged V-6 engine linked to a 75kW electric all-wheel drive powertrain. The system produces a total output of 494 horsepower and 630 pound-feet of torque. The engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission with SelectShift capability.

Lincoln Drive Modes enable you to adjust to the road conditions by adjusting the settings for steering, suspension, and shift points. The EV setting uses all-electric power, while Preserve EV stores energy for later use, such as from the regenerative braking system. Black Label models feature Air Glide Suspension which is height adjustable and provides an even more refined ride.

Interior Styling

Rich leather surfaces and engine-turned aluminum appliques in the Grand Touring give the interior the timeless feel of traditional craftsmanship along with state-of-the-art technology. It has heated 12-way power adjustable front seats, second row captain’s chairs with power tip and slide, and a power 50/50 split folding third row.

Interior features include push-button start, ambient lighting, quad-zone climate control, a leather-bound steering wheel, power tilting and telescoping steering column with memory, a 110-volt power outlet, a panoramic moonroof, and symphonic chimes for a soothing but effective warning sound.

The Sync 3 infotainment system features a 10.1-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hot spot, voice-activated navigation, and 14-speaker audio with satellite and HD radio. The Black Label offers heated and ventilated first and second rows, 30-way adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, soft close doors, a wireless charging pad, and a 28-speaker 3D sound system.

Driver Assistance

Standard driver assist features on the Grand Touring include electronic stability control with roll stability control, traction control, a lane keeping system, blind spot detection with cross-traffic alert, front and rear parking sensors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, rain-sensing wipers, and a 360-degree camera system.
