Enjoy a Cat Cafe

Are you missing your cat while you are in Atlanta? Head over to Happy Tabby Cat Cafe to get your daily dose of furry snuggles. The cafe is in the historic Old Fourth Ward area of the city. Your $8 entry fee gets you one hour of kitty time in the cat lounge. Except for the two house cats, All of the cats are up for adoption and love to play and cuddle, with the exception of the two house cats. They are a great stress reliever or companion while you enjoy a drink from the coffee bar. Keep in mind if you want a drink or a snack, the location is cash-free. They only accept credit or debit cards.

Doll Head’s Trail

Do you want to explore an intriguing trail on your next walk or jog? Head for the Doll’s Head Trail in Constitution Lakes Park. During your exercise, take a look at the variety of doll heads that line the trail. They are in many different art pieces. Some are obvious, while others may surprise you. Follow the signs in the park’s parking lot to reach the trail and enjoy your walk.

Goat Yoga

Are you looking for a different type of yoga class? Check out one of the trendy goat yoga classes in the city. Before you sign up, make sure you are comfortable with animals. While you are working through a series of yoga poses, the goats roam free. Make sure your back is strong enough to handle a sudden jolt as one of your four-legged yoga partners may jump on you.

Bring your kids to these classes for them to enjoy a fun introduction to yoga. However, make sure they are comfortable with animals getting up close and personal with them. You can either check out a private class or look into one of many public courses throughout the city.

Sculpture Scavenger Hunt

Spend the day exploring Atlanta through a different set of eyes while you work on a sculpture scavenger hunt. Whether you are hunting with your friends or family members, the city holds sculptures for everyone’s enjoyment. Take a short trip to Decatur and enjoy the Decatur Sculpture Tour along the Artway. Each visit to this location offers something different as the pieces are continually rotating.

Get your children excited about art with a trip to the Abernathy Greenway Playable ArtPark. They can run off their energy at the park and then explore a sculpture garden. There are different pieces they can climb and swing on, including a giant spider web. For those who like to climb, check out the mosaic climbing wall.

Ask your friends and family to tag along during your adventures. Exploring unusual places with other people adds to the fun. Check each location for age restrictions before you start exploring so everyone can enjoy the destination.
