2019 Mustang Shelby GT350When the Mustang Shelby GT350 was introduced in 2016, Ford labeled it as “the best handling Mustang of all time.” Ford has aimed to build on this reputation with its 2019 model by giving it stickier tires, improved precision, and the latest in race-proven aerodynamics.

Although the GT350 boasts track-focused features, it also offers a comfortable and luxurious interior, striking a perfect balance between the regular Mustang and the GT350R. The GT350 doesn’t come cheap though. But according to popular opinion, this sports car provides a rewarding drive for both amateurs and pros, and is well worth the splurge. Here is some info on what the 2019 Mustang GT350 has to offer.

A Luxurious and Comfortable Interior

The GT350 boasts a comfortable and upscale interior. The 2019 model features power-adjustable Recaro race seats with Miko suede inserts, a machined aluminum instrument panel, and redesigned door panels that sport Miko suede inserts as well. Dual-zone climate control and a universal garage door opener are also now standard features included with the GT350.

A State-Of-The-Art Infotainment System

Although the GT350 is a track-focused car, it offers convenient tech features such as Ford’s SYNC 3 infotainment system that includes an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, SiriusXM, nine speakers, two smart-charging USB ports, and Bluetooth. You can also opt for a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen premium audio system, which includes a subwoofer in the trunk.

Loads of Power and Superior Performance

Although the new GT350 still features the same 5.2-liter Voodoo V-8 engine that is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, providing 526 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque, it offers a whole new level of performance driving. A re-calibrated chassis features a softer rear spring rate and an upgraded version of the standard MagneRide suspension, boasting new springs and revised damping, which makes for sharper handling. The GT350 also comes with re-tuned electronic stability control, as well as an upgraded electronic power steering system, which gives the driver improved control and feedback.

Aerodynamic and Sporty Exterior

The new GT350 sees some upgrades to its exterior. It now sports the same front grille opening as the GT350R, featuring a smaller opening that allows for better air cooling. The rear spoiler, which has been redesigned to provide greater aerodynamics, features an optional Gurney flap — which will be included later in the model year —  that will increase downforce at high speeds.

With the new GT350 also comes improved grip, as Ford collaborated with Michelin to design a new tire with a Shelby-specific tread pattern, called New Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, which are wrapped around 19-inch aluminum wheels.

If you’re a racing junkie who opts for performance-oriented cars, but you also demand a luxurious and comfortable ride, then the Shelby GT350 is the sports car for you. Although this car does not come cheap, it offers a superior driving experience, the latest in technological innovation, and loads of style to boot. If you have the means, spoil yourself with a Shelby GT350. Remember, you only live once!
